Making shelves and using your space smartly !

We have always wanted to make shelves and use the indents originally made in the living room, finally hubby and I were looking in our storage balcony and we found the wood pieces from our old bed. We decide to get started on this easy diy project!!!!

Looking at our shelf holders we realized we needed (6) holders that looked the same ...we only had 4 big ones and a couple of smaller random ones. That's when my BRILLIANT husband Sedeek thought of cutting 3 squared pieces of wood to do the job of the missing holders like these.

Well three (3) squared wood pieces in our case because we wanted 3 shelves .Two shelf holders for each making them a total of six identical holders ( we only had 4 )
Then nailed the wooden pieces in the side wall (circled in red) and the metal holder in the main wall .

As you can see the first and the third shelf have the metal holder nailed in the same spot on the wall, you don't have to put it in same spot , but i assure you it will look more professional if you do ! Taking measurements before starting is better than stopping in the middle of nailing to do so...
Trust me!!!

The wood from the old bed was pretty long so we also had to cut it in half to fit in the indents of our living room.

ALMOST done just screwing a nail through the metal holder into the wood and then a nail through the holder into the wall.

Woohoo done and ready to ORGANIZE our books and DECORATE !!
endless ways to decorate this . I chose to stick this wall sticker we bought a few month ago.
An adorable black vase with flowers and a bunch of butterflies on a blue shade that i don't know the name of .. just perfection !

turned out pretty cute <3

SPECIAL THANKS TO MY KOKY
